Sweet basil, Tulsi, is a popular herb that has a sweet, fragrant, and slightly peppery flavour. Furthermore it can find use in a variety of dishes to enhance their flavour and aroma. The plant has a long history of use in traditional medicine and has anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antibacterial properties. Additionally, sweet basil is rich in antioxidants, which help to protect the body against the damaging effects of free radicals. These are contained in the essential oil. Sweet basil commonly finds use (fresh) in recipes. You can also be dry it or make into a paste or oil for longer-term storage. This herb is grown by marginal farmers in villages around TERI’s regional centre in Mukteshwar, Uttarakhand, as part of it livelihood enhancement initiative in the region

Several herbal formulations such as Panch Patti Kadha, Khatti Chhachh (Sour Buttermilk), coal-ash and Dash Parni Ark are in use to keep the pests away.  

We do not use any synthetic fertilisers, urea, pesticides, growth hormones and additives to artificially increase production, size or shine of produce.
