Murmura is made by heating rice kernels under high pressure. A little bit of steam is added to puff the kernels and a delicious and healthy murmura is made. Has many different names. Like puffed rice, murmura, muri, kurmura, maramaraalu, perched rice. Health benefits of Murmura:
Try this delicious and healthy snack plain, roast it, make Murmura Laddoo, Puffed Rice Cake, Vagharela Murmura, Bhel Puri and many more To make crispy Murmura Ladoos dissolve jaggery in a pan of water. Then bring it to a boil to thicken it and add murmura. Let cool and make laddoos. For the Puffed Rice Cake mix roasted sesame seeds, honey, tahini paste and sugar in a pan. Wait until it forms a smooth paste and transfer to a greased dish and freeze.
You can easily make Vagharela Murmura by adding mustard seeds to a hot pan with oil. After they popped add turmeric, hing and puffed rice. Mix and add powdered sugar, salt and red chilli powder. Cook for two more minutes. In order to make Bhel Puri mix puffed rice, chopped onions, boiled potatoes, chutneys of your choice, coriander, chaat masala, salt, lemon juice, sev and papdis.
