Organically grown, Hand – pounded Moong Dhuli Daal - Desi is very simple to cook and does not need any pre soaking. Low in fat, high in fibre and protein. This daal is easy to digest. Moong daal is rich in calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, folate and Vitamin B, rich source of protein & fibre.  Our Best Selling Moong dal is known to have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that help in fighting harmful bacteria, viruses and colds. Rice has fibre called resistant starch which helps in promoting healthy bacteria in the bowel, thus boosting the immune system. 

 

1. Moong chilla

Soak 2 cups of Moong dhuli daal in water for upto 4 hours. 

Drain well and grind into a fine paste 

Add carom seeds (ajwain), grated ginger, finely chopped green chilli and coriander leaves, salt and pinch of turmeric powder and mix well. 

Keep aside for 15 - 20 minutes for the batter to set.

Make round chilla on a properly heated iron tawa for best results. 

 

2. Dry Sauteed Moong - Best for breakfast.

Soak 2 cups of Moong dhuli daal in water for upto 4 hours. 

Drain well.

Saute this soaked Moong in a tablespoon of desi cow ghee tempered with Moti Rai (Black Mustard) and Jeera (Cumin seeds). Add a pinch of turmeric powder, some salt to taste adn garnish with finely chopped green chilli and coriander leaves.

Serve hot for a health start of the day.
