Drumstick Pods or Sehjan ki Phali are a native to South Asia, especially India. It is highly medicinal and finds mention in Ayurchikitsa. Drumstick is also known as horseradish tree or drumstick tree (in English), Subhanjana (in Sanskrit), Haritashaaka or Akshiva (in Ayurveda) and Sainjna or Saguna (in Hindi).
Its pod or Phali is consumed as a healthy vegetable in Indian preparations.
